Why should you care about technology?

And yet the companies that sell it to you have no incentive to explain it — they’d rather you buy a “whole-home mesh system” or “upgrade to gigabit fibre” when the real fix is often something simple.
The problem is not that the technology is too complicated. The problem is that the people selling it make it sound complicated on purpose.
