Money Basics
Money is the one system every adult has to use, every single day. It is also the one almost nobody was ever taught.
This section is that explanation, in order, in plain language. What money actually is. What a market is. What your bank does with your money after you deposit it. Where interest comes from, why prices rise, and how to tell what is known from what is merely argued.
Who this is for
If you have used a bank for fifty years and were never told what the bank does with your money, this is for you.
If you are leaving school or college and opening your first account, this is for you too, and you are getting the explanation earlier than most people do.
You do not need to be good at math. Nothing here needs anything beyond arithmetic, and most of it needs none at all. What it needs is somebody describing the system once, properly, in order.
How to read it
Read them in order if you can. Each piece assumes the ones before it and very little else, which is why the sequence below matters: money first, then markets, then banks, then everything that follows.
If you want each piece as it is published, sign up for the free guide. One email when a new one goes up, nothing else.
